Important Notice for Trade Contractors and Callers

Litey ("Litey", "we", "us", or "our") provides an operational platform and inbound Voice AI receptionist services for local trade contractors. Litey processes customer contact details, web quote requests, audio recordings of inbound calls, speech-to-text transcripts, and AI-generated summaries on behalf of our contractor customers. This Privacy Policy details the types of information we collect, how it is handled, and the strict technical safeguards in place.

1. Scope and Relationship of Parties

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through our marketing site (litey.net), our operational dashboard (systems.litey.net), contractor landing pages hosted on Litey subdomains or custom domains, and phone numbers provisioned through Litey Voice AI.

Under applicable data protection laws:

  • Contractor Accounts: Litey acts as a Data Controller with respect to account registration details, billing identifiers, and usage metrics for trade contractors who subscribe to our platform.
  • Customer Leads and Voice AI Callers: Litey acts as a Data Processor (or Service Provider) on behalf of the trade contractor. The contractor is the Data Controller who determines the lawful basis for handling end-customer inquiries and receiving phone calls.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: directly from contractor account holders, automatically via customer interactions with contractor web pages and phone lines, and through trusted third-party service providers.

A. Contractor Account Data

  • Owner and business contact name, email address, and administrative phone number.
  • Company name, trade classification (such as Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, or Garage Door Repair), and geographic service areas.
  • Authentication credentials and account configuration parameters.
  • Subscription status, plan tier, and payment profile identifiers managed via Whop Inc.

B. Voice AI Telephony, Audio Recordings, and Transcripts

When a caller dials a phone number provisioned through Litey for a contractor, our systems capture and process:

  • Telephony Metadata: Caller phone number (Caller ID), recipient number, call start time, call duration, and call routing status.
  • Call Audio Recordings: Digital audio files of the inbound phone call handled by our automated Voice AI receptionist.
  • Speech-to-Text Transcripts: Automated word-for-word textual transcriptions of audio conversations generated during or immediately following the call.
  • AI Summaries and Structured Data: Extracted job descriptions, caller addresses, stated service emergencies, and job categories derived by natural language processing algorithms.

C. Web Form Submissions and Lead Data

  • Full name, telephone number, email address, and physical service address submitted via quote request modals and estimate forms.
  • Job details, scheduling preferences, and customer notes entered into hosted landing pages.

D. Technical and Device Information

  • IP addresses, browser user agent, operating system, device identifiers, and HTTP referrer headers.
  • Server access logs and error logs used strictly for network security and diagnosing platform faults.

3. How We Use Collected Data

We process personal data strictly for legitimate operational and business purposes:

  • Delivering Voice AI Receptionist Services: Answering contractor telephone lines, conducting conversational voice interactions with callers, recording calls, generating transcripts, and notifying contractors of new leads.
  • Hosting Contractor Landing Pages: Displaying contractor services, publishing verified business credentials, and routing customer quote requests directly to contractor CRM dashboards.
  • Billing and Minute Consumption: Calculating telephony usage, tracking call duration, deducting prepaid balance top-ups, and managing subscription tiers.
  • Customer Feedback Routing: Operating feedback capture tools that route high-scoring customer reviews to external profiles and private feedback to contractors.
  • Security and Abuse Prevention: Detecting fraudulent calls, telephony carrier spam, unauthorized system access, denial-of-service attempts, and telecommunications abuse.
  • Legal Compliance: Complying with federal telecommunications regulations, wiretapping statutes, lawful subpoenas, and court orders.

4. Call Recording and Consent Acknowledgments

Inbound calls to contractor numbers powered by Litey are recorded and transcribed by automated systems to assist trade contractors in responding to customer requests.

Under our Terms of Service, contractors who activate Voice AI phone lines are legally required to ensure that callers receive clear, immediate disclosure that the call is being recorded (e.g., via the Voice AI opening greeting or call whisper announcement) in accordance with all applicable state and federal wiretapping and eavesdropping statutes.

If you are a caller and do not wish for your conversation to be recorded, you must terminate the phone call immediately and contact the contractor through alternate methods such as direct email or in-person communication.

5. Third-Party Subprocessors and Infrastructure

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties, data brokers, or advertising networks. We share information only with trusted third-party subprocessors who provide core infrastructure required to operate the platform:

6. Data Retention and Deletion Policies

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes set forth in this policy:

  • Contractor Account Data: Retained for the active duration of the contractor subscription and for a reasonable period following cancellation to allow account reactivation, resolve billing audits, or satisfy statutory tax requirements.
  • Call Audio and Transcripts: Stored within secure cloud storage for the contractor to review in their operational dashboard. Contractors may delete call records and associated audio files directly through their dashboard controls.
  • Lead and Quote Submissions: Maintained in the contractor database until deleted by the contractor or purged upon verified request.

7. Security Safeguards

We implement industry-standard administrative, physical, and technical controls to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure:

  • All web and telephony data in transit is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3).
  • Database records and persistent backups are encrypted at rest using AES-256 standard encryption.
  • Database access is enforced through strict Row-Level Security (RLS) policies, preventing unauthorized cross-tenant data access.
  • Payment details are tokenized and processed directly by PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways; Litey never stores raw credit card numbers.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (such as under the California Consumer Privacy Act / CPRA, Virginia VCDPA, or European GDPR), you may have the following rights regarding personal data:

  • Right of Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Right of Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal records.
  • Right of Erasure: Request permanent deletion of your personal data, subject to lawful exceptions (such as regulatory compliance or active legal claims).
  • Right to Opt Out of Sale: Litey does not sell personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration.

Because Litey acts as a service provider to trade contractors for caller and lead data, callers seeking to exercise their privacy rights should contact the trade contractor directly. Alternatively, you may submit a request to our privacy team at [email protected] and we will assist in coordinating with the respective contractor.

9. Children's Privacy

Litey is a business-to-business commercial software platform. Our website, services, and telephony systems are not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted personal data through our platform, please notify us immediately for expedited deletion.

10. Policy Modifications and Contact

We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect operational, legal, or technical changes. Material modifications will be posted to this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of Litey following updates indicates acceptance of the amended policy.
